Property Taxes

Property taxes are due February 14 and September 14 each year.  Checks should be made payable to Peacock Township.  They can be paid by mailing them to our township at:

You have the option to use our General Drop-Box located at the township to the left of the front door.

Feel free to contact our Treasurer at (231)266-5122 to make an appointment if you wish to pay in person.  Our Treasurer also keeps special hours during peak pay periods.  Watch this page for updated times.  

Taxes Payable – NOTE: For address changes, contact Dept. of Equalization

Taxes are payable from December 1, 2023 to February 14, 2024 without penalty.

From February 15, 2024 to February 29, 2024 total tax due plus a 3% penalty.

MARCH 1, 2024 and after, taxes plus penalties must be paid to the Lake County Treasurer’s office at which time you will need to contact the county Treasurer’s office at (231)745-4622 for the exact amount overdue.
